Dexter is the Asia lead for market engagements. He spearheads the efforts in Asia to engage the oil community about S&P Global Platts price assessment methodology for crude oil, refined product and shipping markets. He provides insight into market developments and trends, and gathers feedback about the Platts methodology. Since joining Platts in April 2015, Dexter covered major oil product assessments, worked on methodology improvements and launching new assessments. Prior to this, Dexter covered the petrochemical markets. Dexter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Wendy Cheong is the managing editor of the light ends desk, overseeing coverage of naphtha, gasoline and LPG markets in Asia and the Middle East. Based in Singapore, she began her career at Platts in 2004. In the past 13 years, Wendy has covered markets across the barrel, from Middle Eastern and Asia Pacific crudes to refined products such as middle distillates, light ends and downstream petrochemicals. Prior to her tenure as a light ends manager, she was the managing editor of middle distillates. Wendy holds a bachelor's degree with honors in communication studies from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Marc has over 12 years of energy analysis experience, specializing in LNG. He helped set-up Wood Mackenzie’s LNG analysis in the Americas from Houston. More recently, in Singapore, Marc headed FGE’s LNG/Gas analysis and research department, focused on advising East of Suez buyers and sellers regarding LNG strategies, trends and pricing. He also spent several years with Qatargas and Gazprom's LNG marketing teams in Doha and Singapore, respectively, where he helped revise their LNG marketing strategies, structure sales agreements, develop global gas models and lead analyst teams.

Deepak Kannan joined S&P Global Platts in March 2012 and was named Managing Editor, Asia Pacific, Thermal Coal in November 2013. His team produces daily newsletters, real-time and market-moving news in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining Platts, he worked as an editor with Thomson Reuters in both Bangalore and Singapore for six years. He holds a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from Bangalore University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Science.

Samar Niazi is the Asia Corn and Biodiesel Editor with the Agriculture team, based out of Singapore for S & P Global Platts, a leader in commodities benchmarks worldwide. She has previously worked at a major commodities trading firm and joined the company in October 2015 to cover the Asian biodiesel market.

Samar has an MBA from the Lee Kong Chian School at the Singapore Management University and an undergraduate degree in business from IIUI, Islamabad.

Donavan holds a Master’s degree in Applied Finance from Singapore Management University in Singapore.

Joe is CEO, AG&P Group. Since he led the acquisition of AG&P at the end of 2010, AG&P has developed from a leading industrial manufacturing company focused on the modularization of hydrocarbon, mining, power and civil infrastructure into a global powerhouse in LNG supply chain design, development and marketing

Under his leadership, AG&P accelerated its commercial development and sold and executed over $1 billion of new contracts, much of it related to LNG export. In 2015, Joe introduced a vertically integrated approach to LNG. Building on AG&P’s established and ongoing heritage modularization business, Joe steered the company’s direction towards becoming a leading gas logistics company for the provision of natural gas/LNG

AG&P has several LNG projects in operation and advanced stages of development worldwide. In India alone, AG&P owns multiple 25-year exclusive rights to develop infrastructure and supply natural gas to residential, commercial, industrial and transport users across the country

Joe began his career as an investment banker in New York with Lazard Frères, before joining Goldman Sachs in London. Business Week Magazine named Joe 2006 Annual Star of Asia. The World Economic Forum 2008 named Joe a Young Global Leader. He is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations

Joe’s first company, OfficeTiger, a start-up that grew to several thousand people focused on the provision of accounting, legal, pre-media and other judgment-driven services, was sold for $250 M to RR Donnelley

Joe graduated with honors from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and received his MBA from The Harvard Business School

Originally from New York, Joe has lived for extended periods in the UK, India and Philippines


Ryan Chua

Ryan Chua is AG&P’s Assistant Vice President of Business Development, where he manages the company’s global LNG portfolio, including LNG terminal projects and city gas distribution (CGD) contracts. Ryan brings a decade of experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and greenfield projects.

Having worked in Switzerland, Singapore, China and the Philippines, Ryan has extensive international investment experience across the financial and consumer services sectors, with specific expertise in transactions in the Philippines. Ryan was a former Senior Associate at Brummer & Partners where he was responsible for the Navegar Private Equity Fund. Prior to joining the financial services sector, Ryan was a marketing executive at Procter & Gamble based in Singapore and China.

Ryan graduated cum laude from Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering and earned a Masters’ degree in Business Administration from INSEAD, France. Ryan is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
