The 37th Asia Pacific Petroleum Conference (APPEC 2021) will be taking place from September 27-29. The event will feature hybrid conference elements to allow those near and far to participate in the APPEC experience, whether onsite or online.

Andrew Andrew Walker
Vice President of Strategy, Cheniere

Dr. Andrew Walker is the Vice President for LNG Strategy and Communication for Cheniere. He is located in London and is responsible for the LNG strategy and market outlook of Cheniere, reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer. Until October 2015 he was Vice President for Global LNG - and prior to that Head of LNG Strategy - at BG Group where he worked for over 20 years before joining Cheniere.

Capt Capt. Rajalingam Subramaniam
President & CEO, AET

Capt. Rajalingam Subramaniam was appointed President & CEO of AET on 1 January 2016. He began his career at sea, came ashore in 1996 and has since held various positions in the MISC Group namely Vice President, Fleet Management Services, MISC; Group Vice President, AET Shipmanagement and General Manager, AET. Capt. Raja is a Board Member of several subsidiaries and joint venture companies within the MISC Group and also serves the industry in various appointments including ex-Chairman, Gas Tankers Committee of the International Association of Independent Tankers Owners (INTERTANKO); Board Member, GARD P&I; Committee Chair of a number of class societies and Honorary Commander, Royal Malaysian Navy Reservist Programme. He was awarded the National Seafarers Icon 2017 by the Malaysia Marine Department and 2018 Tanker Shipping & Trade Industry Leader Recognition

Andrew Debesh Patra
Chief Manager, Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd.

Dr. DC Patra, with over 3 decades of experience in Oil & Gas Industry, currently works as Executive Director, Corporate Planning in Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Mumbai. He held 2 years stint in Department of Economic Analysis and Policy, Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai. He did Masters in Economics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 1983 and earned Ph. D in Petroleum Economics from University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun in 2007. He is Fellow Energy Institute, London since 2018. He is author of 2 books on Indian Oil Industry; has published more than 45 papers in journals and conference proceedings.

Felipe Felipe Bayón
President, Ecopetrol

CEO of the Ecopetrol Group, the biggest oil and gas business conglomerate of Colombia FELIPE BAYÓN. In his almost five years at Ecopetrol, three of those as President, Mr. Bayon has led a transformation process that allowed the company to successfully face the complex global environment created by the drop in international prices of oil and covid-19 pandemic.

Giovanni Giovanni Serio
Head of Research, Vitol

Giovanni is Vitol’s Global Head of Research. He has 20 years of research, modelling and analysis experience. Prior to joining Vitol in August 2016, Giovanni was Head of Market Analysis at Noble, at BP and senior analyst at Goldman Sachs. Giovanni started his career as an economist at the Research Department of Italy’s Central Bank and then as a Consultant at the Development Economic Research Group of the World Bank. Giovanni holds a PhD in Economics from New York University.

harry Harry Tchilinguirian,
Director Oil Market Analytics and Research, TOTAL

Harry Tchilinguirian is head of commodity research and senior oil market economies with BNP Paribas’ Markets 360 group in London. His area of coverage includes short term oil markets. Harry joined BNP Paribas in August of 2006 from the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, France where he worked for 6 years in the Oil Market and Industry Division. As Senior Oil Market Analyst, he was a contributor to the IEA’s benchmark monthly Oil Market Report where he covered prices, refinery activity, oil inventories and statistics and maintained and developed in the division's extensive contacts within the industry and governments alike. Harry’s responsibilities at the IEA also included regular presentations to the various IEA government committees and the office of the Executive director as well as market analysts in support of Agency’s assessment of potential use of strategy stocks in emergency situations.

S M Mitsuyasu (Mitch) Kawaguchi
General Manager of Crude Oil and Tanker, COSMO Oil

Mr Kawaguchi has 26 years of experience in Crude/Petroleum Product trading and marketing at Japanese refiner, Cosmo Oil Co.,Ltd. He joined the Tokyo branch in 1993 as a Marketing staff, and his previous roles include Assistant Manager at Aviation Fuel Marketing in Cosmo Tokyo HQ 1996-2000, Manager of derivative trading at Cosmo Oil of USA (New York office) 2003-2006. Following this he was in charge of developing petroleum products marketing network in the states of California, USA as Chief Operation Officer of Cosmo Oil of USA 2006-2010. Following this, he was Group manager at the Products Trading Department, in Cosmo Tokyo HQ 2010-2014, Vice President of Cosmo Oil International Pte. Ltd 2014-2017, before being appointed to his current role since 2017.

Petri Petri Jokinen
Director, Neste

Petri Jokinen is the Director for Neste Singapore Expansion Project, Neste’s largest investment project in history (1.5 billion euros). Once the expanded refinery in Singapore starts operations by Q1 2023, it will bring Neste’s global production capacity of renewable solutions from 3.2 million tons today to 4.5 million tons in 2023. Petri was also the Managing Director of Neste Singapore from April 2009 to August 2012, building the existing Singapore refinery. Petri joined Neste over 30 years ago in 1988, and has been working for different Neste legal entities in Finland and Singapore. Besides the above-mentioned roles, he has also served as Director of Neste's Investment Management, Managing Director of Neste Jacobs, Vice President of Neste Engineering, just to name a few.

Saad Saad Rahim,
Chief Economist, Trafigura

Saad is the Chief Economist for Trafigura, a market leader in the global commodities industry. He is responsible for the company’s views on markets and macroeconomics, including the outlook for oil and metals markets, commodity prices, equity and credit markets, and political risk. Before joining Trafigura he was Chief Economist at BG Group responsible for the Group’s views on oil, gas and LNG markets, advising senior management on markets, macroeconomics and global risk. Prior to this he was Deputy Chief Economist at Chevron Corporation responsible for the corporation's forecasts and analysis on macroeconomics, geopolitics and energy prices. He also focuses on global energy trends, including National Oil Companies, OPEC policy, carbon initiatives and consumer and producer country policies. Prior to joining Chevron, Saad was an international energy advisor with PFC Energy in Washington, managing their macroeconomic forecasting, country risk services, and geopolitical analysis focused on the Middle East and Asia.

Sarah Sarah Bairstow,
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Mexico Pacific Limited

Sarah holds unique end-to-end LNG project development experience, having successfully marketed and commercially delivered LNG projects from concept through to commercial operations. She is currently the Chief Commercial Officer at Mexico Pacific Limited with a focus on delivering lower landed LNG prices into Asia by liquefying competitive Permian gas on the west coast of North America. Previously Head of LNG Marketing (Commercial) for the Gladstone LNG project, Sarah secured the long-term SPAs before building and running the project’s commercial LNG desk. Prior to GLNG, Sarah was an energy projects lawyer with international law firm Ashurst.

Unni Unni Einemo
Director, International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA)

Unni Einemo joined IBIA on a permanent basis in April 2016 as its IMO representative, Media and Communications Manager following a period of two years as a non-Executive board director. She was promoted to the position of Director, IBIA in September 2018 and now has global responsibility for running the Association. Prior to joining IBIA, she worked for two decades as a journalist and analyst in the marine fuel and shipping industries in her capacity as Managing Editor for the highly regarded Bunkerworld and Sustainable shipping specialist news services at Petromedia, and later Platts, which acquired Petromedia in July 2015. Through writing, and regularly attending industry conferences in IMO meetings, Unni has gained expert industry knowledge.

fenghai Wang Fenghai
CEO, Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE/INE)

Wang Fenghai is the CEO of Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) and Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE). He started working in the futures industry since 1993, and has witnessed and participated in the growth and development of China's futures market along the way. Currently, he is also the Director of China Futures Market Monitoring Center and the doctoral advisor of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Before joining SHFE and INE, Mr. Wang was the CEO of Dalian Commodity Exchange.

Yuri Yuriy Eroshin
Commercial Director for LNG and Gas Overseas Trading, NOVATEK

In 2003 Mr. Eroshin graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute with a degree in Electric Systems and Power Grids. In 2009 he successfully completed an MBA course (Management – International Business) in the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation. Mr. Eroshin also holds a Ph.D. in Economics. Mr. Eroshin started his career in 2004 in OAO RAO UES (Unified Energy System of Russia). During the next 6 years, he worked in different power supply companies gaining considerable experience in electric power trading, wholesale and retail energy markets in Russian Federation and abroad. In 2010 he joined PAO Fortum (Russian subsidiary of Finnish company Fortum) as the Vice-President for Production and Trading Portfolio. Later in 2016 Mr. Eroshin also became head of PAO Fortum’s Development Center. Starting from June 2018 Mr. Eroshin was appointed Commercial Director for LNG and Natural Gas Overseas Trading of JSC NOVATEK.
