S&P Global Platts Metals Webinar: From pricing to politics: How tariffs, trade and derivatives are re-shaping US-Turkey scrap and steel flows

Recent reductions in the US tariffs on Turkish steel came with some surprise. This has had an impact on scrap markets globally. With the US eliminating tariffs for Canadian and Mexican steel, we are unlikely to see Rebar exports increase from Turkey to the US.

This increasing volatility in the ferrous metal markets is added to by political uncertainty in Turkey. This is effecting demand and buying patterns, which is challenging to those managing financial risk within these markets and beyond. What do the shifts in ferrous metal import and exports in Turkey mean for assessing price in the short and longer-term? Join our webinar to find out.
