S&P Global Platts

S&P Global Platts has set a new US crude benchmark after the historic NYMEW WTI negative pricing event in April 2020 that was triggered by landlocked storage concerns in Cushing, Oklahoma. The new Platts American GulfCoast Select (AGS) launched on June 26 now brings the US a Brent of its own.

Why does Platts AGS matter to Asia and the global waterborne market? Tune in to the Platts AGS: The New US Brent and Its Impacts on Global Trade webinar to find out.

Key topics include:

  • How US crude assessments have evolved and Platts AGS could become the new benchmark
  • Global and Asia dynamics as Platts AGS joins suite of waterborne benchmarks
  • What Platts AGS means for the industry

This session will consist of a presentation sharing how PlattsAGS came about and is primed to be the natural evolution of the US crude benchmark, and a fireside panel to discuss global and Asia dynamics.
