Mr. Anand is a Managing Director, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring, valuation, and execution of investments for the Sustainable Infrastructure team. He brings over 18 years of principal investing experience in the global energy industry to the firm and is a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Denham, he was with GE Energy Financial Services, focusing on private equity and structured financing transactions in the energy industry. In this role, he originated, evaluated, and executed multiple power generation and oil and gas investments in the United States and Asia Pacific region. Mr. Anand received a Bachelor of Engineering from Panjab University and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

Mr. Barajas focuses his practice on domestic and international project development and finance, with emphasis on Latin American infrastructure projects, debt financings, and mergers and acquisitions. He regularly represents lenders, investors, and developers in a wide range of domestic and international project financings in energy, power, infrastructure, and commercial sectors, as well as in traditional banking, structured finance, M&A, and other areas. He has worked on transitions in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guam, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, the U.S., Yemen and elsewhere. Mr. Barajas has spearheaded several large project finance projects within Latin America and has accumulated numerous individual accolades and Deals of the Year. He is recognized as one of the leading project finance and Latin America practitioners by various industry rankings.

Mr. Tovar has been with ENGIE since 2001 and has more than 25 years of experience in the downstream energy sector. In his previous role, he was the Head of Business Development for LatAm. Prior to that, he was the CEO of GNLS (a 50/50 joint venture with Marubeni for the construction of a regas facility in Uruguay). Previously, he was the CEO and Country Manager in charge of power generation assets and new business development for ENGIE in Central America and the Caribbean. His 20 years of experience as a lawyer includes extensive direct legal work and legal management of the drafting, negotiating and support of the execution phase of project agreements and EPC contracts for power, gas and desalination projects as well as drafting and negotiating project finance and other structured finance documentation for such transactions. Mr. Tovar has a B.A. from Yale University, a MPA from the Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Mr. Castro is director of commercial transactions at Invenergy, LLC. Previous positions included director, sales and business development, Division Infraestructura. Mr. Castro has an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick, England, a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico.

Mr. Alfaia is responsible for executing M&A and private placement engagements in the energy sector. He has been involved with energy and infrastructure markets since 2003.At Marathon Capital he has worked on several significant wind. Solar, biomass, and geothermal financing and M&A transactions. He also led one of Marathon’s landmark transactions, the successful equity capital raise and project financing of Mexico Power Group’s La Bufa 1 Wind Farm. He has previously worked in various project finance and M&A assignments in the Brazilian energy industry including the valuation and sale processes of an electricity transmission company, a 300 MW coal and gas fired thermal power generation project, and a 600 MW hydropower plant. Mr. Alfaia is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Society and received his MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago. Mr. Alfaia holds his Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Mr. Hurtado is the founder of the Mexican Hydrogen Association. He is also the president of the Mexican Academy of Energy Law and Professor of Energy Regulation at the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico. Previously, he served as head of the legal affairs unit at SENER and was a Commissioner of the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). Mr. Hurtado has a law degree and a Master’s in International Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico.

Ms. Wiggins is president and CEO of the Natural Gas Supply Association, representing major integrated and independent natural gas products in the United States. She joined NGSA in 2014. She leads the association’s efforts to encourage the supply and use of natural gas and promotes the benefits of competitive markets. Following the merger of the Center for LNG (CLNG) with NGSA, she also steers CLNG. Previously, she was a partner at the firm of Ballard Spahr, and served as general counsel to the Process Gas Consumers Group. Ms. Wiggins holds a BA degree from the University of Richmond and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Ms. Dueñas is the Market Engagement Manager in Mexico for S&P Global Platts, where she is responsible for engagement with industry participants across all commodity groups. Previously she worked at S&P Global Ratings for more than ten years, following the energy, telecoms and media sectors, and conglomerates with credits in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia and Peru. Before joining Standard & Poor’s in 2007, she worked in the underwriting team at GE Capital Solutions. Ms. Dueñas holds an MBA in Banking and Finance from Birmingham University (UK) and a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico).

Ms. Gasca, Managing Editor Global Power Pricing, overseeing S&P Global Platts’ indices for Power across the world, including Power, renewables, and content related Platts Electricity offerings. She previously worked among various firms such as Shell, BP, Peoples Gas & Coke Company and Constellation New Energy among others with roles as power and natural gas Trader and retail energy Executive. Ms. Gasca has a Master’s in Econometrics and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelors in Economics and Mathematics from Northern Illinois University. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Bauer School of business, teaching Power Markets and Trading.

Mr. Kohlman is a senior managing editor, focusing on refined products. He has been with S&P Global Platts since 2009. He is experienced in pricing, marketing, analysis, and international journalism. Mr. Kohlman has an MBA from the University of Houston and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird University. He also has a journalism degree from South Dakota State University.

Mr. Rodriguez is the Team Leader for Products Arbitrage and Latin American Oil Analytics for S&P Global Platts, where he is responsible for the development of product trade flow outlooks, regional supply/demand balances, price forecasting and fundamental analysis. He authors the monthly Latin American Market Report and is a contributor to a number of other publications. Before joining us through our acquisition of PIRA, he spent nine years with Chevron as a products and biofuels Trader and as a Sr. Strategy Analyst in the company’s downstream division. He began his career at PMI Comercio Internacional, where he held scheduling and commercial roles involving refined products, crude oil, and petrochemicals. Mr. Rodriguez holds a B.A. in International Relations from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a MSc. in International Trade and Transport from the London Metropolitan University in the U.K.

Mr. Winters is a senior energy analyst for S&P Global Platts. Among other areas, he is responsible for balancing the total US natural gas supply demand forecast, which includes storage levels, regional flow corridors, production, regional demand, and imports/exports to Mexico. Before joining S&P Global, he worked at Social Upgrades and at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Winters has degrees in Statistics and Economics from Loyola University Chicago.

Mr. Wyeno leads LNG analysis in the America, including the US LNG export forecast and LNG netbacks. Additionally, he forecasts LNG demand in Latin America and the Caribbean, including domestic supply and demand fundamentals. He began his nine-year career at S&P Global Platts covering global LNG before moving on to cover the Southeast Gulf and Texas region for the North American Natural Gas team and leading the development of the Mexico Energy Service. Mr. Wyeno holds a B.S. in Finance and International Business from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a M.S. in Political Economics from the Colorado School of Mines.

Mr. Peterson has over 35 years of experience across the energy sector. He started shipping and distributing LPG in the Caribbean and Central America. He has worked on numerous ship-building projects in LPG and LNG along with their management. He started the largest independent bunkering company in the southern cone, was president of an E&P company for 5 years, traded crude oil, refined products and natural gas. Started the first natural gas marketing company in Argentina. He later moved into LNG on a worldwide basis. In LNG he has worked many projects including Atlantic LNG, EcoElectrica, Dabhol Power, Elba Island, Lake Charles just to name a few. Extensive experience in business development working for several major energy companies including, Gulf Oil, Coastal Corporation, Enron, GDF Suez (Engie) and Itochu. This has taken him on leadership assignments all over the world as country manager, board member and/or Managing Director. While at Enron and Suez he successfully negotiated numerous Master Agreements and SPA’s with some of the largest LNG companies in the world. Before returning to the USA from Trinidad he was assigned to Mexico to start a gas marketing company, manage all natural gas supply for the LDC’s and work on the merger with Gaz de France. While in Trinidad he was Honorary Consul from Belgium.

Mr. Garcia is the CEO of Santa Fe Gas, one of the first energy and natural gas companies to offer integrated services for U.S. and Mexican markets. His previous experience includes gas and power structuring at Enron and at UBS, and positions at Citibank and Macquarie, among others. Mr. Garcia has a master’s degree in finance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

Ms. Ramiro is a global fellow at the Wilson Center. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the energy industry and environmental sector. She started her public sector career at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Between 2005 and 2013, she held different positions with PEMEX and PMI. From 2013 to 2014, she worked as Director of Energy at the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness, IMCO. She was appointed Commissioner of the CRE by the Mexican Senate on September 18, 2014 for a five-year period. In 2017 she became Chair of the OECD’s Network of Economic Regulators. She stepped down in January 2019 from both responsibilities. She holds a degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, and a master’s degree in Economics from the University College London. Additionally, she has a graduate diploma in Finance and Corporate Social Responsibility from Harvard University. She is an Eisenhower Fellow.

Dr. Wood is Vice President for Strategy and New Initiatives at the Wilson Center. Previously, he was Director of the Wilson Center’s Mexico Institute and now serves as a Senior Advisor to the Institute. He is an internationally renowned specialist on North American politics, Mexico and U.S.-Mexican ties who lectures and publishes on hemispheric issues and relations. He regularly gives testimony to the U.S. Congress on U.S.-Mexico relations, is a widely quoted source on Mexican politics, and has published extensively on this and other issues. He is the author or editor of 12 books and more than 30 chapters and articles. He is currently co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Transparency and Anti-Corruption, has worked closely with the WEF on Energy policy, and is a member of the editorial board of Foreign Affairs Latinoamerica. From 1996-2012, he was a professor and the director of the International Relations Program at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City for 17 years. He studied in the UK and Canada, receiving his Doctorate in Political Studies from Queen’s University, Canada, and is a recipient of the Canadian Governor General’s Visit Award for contributions to the Mexico-Canada relationship.
