Riding the rollercoaster of coking coal markets

The coking coal market has been on a roller coaster ride over the past year. As the industry navigates 2023, markets are concerned with continued tightness in spot supply, China’s return as a buyer of Australian coals and how energy prices are swayed by the Russia-Ukraine war. Whether the trade routes of yesterday will soon be restored, or if they have been upended more permanently, only time can tell.

Tempered by growing demands for a greener future and yet also the glaring lack of viable alternatives, how will the oft-maligned coking coal industry cast its own narrative as one that’s sustainable?

Be part of the discussion and find out what’s in store for coking coal and coke in 2023 at S&P Global Commodity Insights Singapore Coking Coal Conference on May 25-26.

As part of Singapore International Ferrous Week 2023, the event has become a must-attend gathering and meeting point for the coking coal and coke market specialists who want to hear critical insights, networking extensively across the supply chain and play a part in setting the path for the future of the industry.
